• How do I buy a sculpture?

Please fill out the form on the contact page or email at info@kristinakossi.com and specify which sculpture that you are interested in and where the sculpture will be shipped to and you will get a response within a day, if not sooner. If it is available, we will let you know the price plus shipping. Some sculptures are in editions and will need to be cast. Depending on the sculpture and which material you would like it to be cast in, we will give you an estimated time.

  • What materials can the sculptures be cast in?

Editions can be created in various mediums. Please see below descriptions of each.

  • Are all the sculptures editions?

Not all sculptures are in a limited edition, some are just one copy. When they are limited edition it means that there will only be that many made of that kind. Limited editions are highly sought after by collectors.

  • Does Kristina do commission work?

Yes, please enter your information on the contact form or email Kristina at info@kristinakossi.com and we can discuss your project.

    MEDIUM CHOICES

Editions are released in four medium categories to offer different price points and various finishes. There are a variety of finishing choices within each medium category that all enhance and explore the natural qualities of that medium.

    BRONZE

Traditional lost wax foundry casting is a timeless medium. It is of the highest quality and offered in low edition numbers with endless patina possibilities. Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Copper, or Gold is available.

    BONDED BRONZE

This is an alternative to traditional metal casting. It is sometimes called “cold cast bronze” and is comprised of a mixture of milled bronze and an architectural resin. The look, feel, weight, and finish is similar to a traditional foundry cast at a more affordable price. It is offered in brass, copper, bronze, iron and marble and has various patina possibilities.

    HYDROCAL STUDIO CAST

Until the mid-twentieth century, sculptors exhibited plaster casts. Many plaster collections as well as special order bronzes resulted from these exhibitions. Unlike today’s market, this system prevented the sculptor from shouldering the financial burden of a massive bronze inventory.

The most affordable casting, this conventional gypsum product gives the look and feel of traditional plaster castings but is rated at a much higher strength. It can be directly waxed in its pristine form or rubbed and aged with a variety of products.

    CAST STONE

This is an alternative to traditional carved marble. It is sometimes called “cold cast marble” and is comprised of a mixture of milled marble and an architectural resin. The look, feel, weight, and finish is similar to a traditional foundry cast at a more affordable price. It is offered in Carrera marble, black stone, any stone that can be milled into a fine dust
